Most reviews finish within a couple of minutes without any help. When one does not, here is what each situation means and what to do.
A review that was interrupted shows the Needs retry status and a Try again button. If it failed while you were watching, the page also says The review didn't finish. The cause is usually a dropped connection, a timeout, or a temporary problem on our side. Click Try again. Retrying does not use another credit.
Each review allows a small number of generation attempts, currently three, so that one credit cannot fund unlimited attempts. If you reach the limit the page shows The review couldn't be completed. Contact us with the review title and we will sort out your credit.
If you open a review that is being generated in another tab, or you refreshed while it was running, the page shows Review in progress. Wait a minute and click Refresh. A generation that was abandoned, for example because you closed the browser, is treated as stale after about five minutes and can then be retried.
A rejected submission does not spend a credit. The message tells you why:
If you have turned on two-factor authentication in Settings, you must have verified with it in the current session before starting a review or opening one. If you have not, you are sent to the verification page automatically; enter the code from your authenticator app and you are returned to where you were. See Security.
Very rarely a saved report cannot be shown and the page says This review needs attention. Contact us with the review title and we will restore it.
Send us a message with the review title, roughly when it happened and the message you saw. Never paste the contract itself into the contact form.
